Queensland’s Ash Hamblin is a drag racing tragic who loves nothing more than running a high 6 in his Hi-Tec Oils supported twin-turbo 399ci V8 Altered in the hotly contested Competition Eliminator category.

Having run the quarter mile on and off for 25 years, Ash is now a regular at the pointy end of some of Australia’s highest profile drag racing events, and rates his top qualifying effort at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway [Winternationals] in 2009 as the peak to date (6.73 seconds at 199.8mph).
